4 Simple Ways To Make Your Photos Pop!
Whether you’re taking a product shot or family photos, you’ve probably wondered how you can make your images stand out and look better. There are 4 simple ways to accomplish this for any photo!
- Size
To capture the attention of the viewer’s eyes, you will want them focused on your subject. Making sure you have your subject take up most of the frame will help separate it from the other objects in the image. Making it easier to make out what is supposed to be seen.
- Focus
This one may sound obvious, make sure you have your subject in focus. Sometimes creating a shallow depth of field (Blurry Background) can really help your subject pop! This can be done by zooming in further or opening up your camera’s aperture/iris/f-stop. Doing this can just add a bit more of a professional look to your image.
- Color
Making an overall impact to your photo is your color choices. When it comes to color, it is more of an artistic choice. Depending on the emotion you want to evok in the viewer. The use of complementary or contrasting colors of your subject and the background can add a more pleasing look to the overall image. Utilize colorful elements or objects alongside your subject to increase the wow factor of your image.
- Brightness
How bright or dark your subject is can magnify the look and feel of your image. You can go one or two ways with this. Making your subject the brightest, by using lights/reflective material or “shooting into the dark” by having a darker background to allow your subject to be seen more easily. On the contrast, utilizing a brighter background and almost silhouetting your subject will attract the viewers eyes just as powerfully.
To summarize all four of these tips into one, it would be to make sure your subject stands out from the rest of the items in your image. Making an image that pops, is making one that is easy to see what you want us to see. Remember these tips the next time you’re taking photos and see how amazing they will turn out!
